PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how The Alignment Protocol ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Andrew Ebeyer, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website at alignmentprotocol.co ("the Site").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Email address. If you subscribe to our email list or enter your email on the diagnostic results page, your email address is collected and stored by our email service provider, Kit (formerly ConvertKit). We use this solely to send you framework-related emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Payment information. If you purchase The Extraction, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We receive only your name, email, and confirmation of payment from Stripe.

AI tool inputs. When you use AI-powered features on the Site (Layer Lens, diagnostic read, synthesis tools, Signal Extraction sessions, Freedom Number scenarios, or The Build), the text you type is transmitted to our serverless functions hosted on Netlify and then sent to the Anthropic API for processing. We do not log, store, or review individual user inputs or AI responses. These transmissions occur in real time and are not persisted on our servers. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and API terms.

Browser localStorage. The interactive tools on this Site store your worksheet answers, calculator data, checklist progress, and session history in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We cannot access, read, or recover it. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use a different device, this data is lost. We are not responsible for localStorage data loss.

We do not collect: your name (unless provided to Stripe during purchase), IP addresses, location data, browsing behavior, device information, or any other tracking data. We do not use cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics tools.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Email addresses are used to send you the five-email framework series and occasional updates about The Alignment Protocol. We do not sell, share, or rent your email address to any third party.

Payment information is used solely to process your purchase and provide access to The Extraction.

AI tool inputs are used solely to generate your personalized response in real time and are not retained after the response is delivered.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Kit (ConvertKit) — Email collection and delivery. Their privacy policy is available at kit.com/privacy.

Stripe — Payment processing. Their privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Anthropic — AI processing for interactive tools. Their privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy. Per Anthropic's API terms, data sent through their API is not used to train their models.

Netlify — Website hosting and serverless functions. Their privacy policy is available at netlify.com/privacy.

4. DATA RETENTION

Email addresses are retained in Kit until you unsubscribe, at which point they are removed according to Kit's data retention policies. Payment records are retained by Stripe per their policies and applicable tax law requirements. AI tool inputs are not retained by us. localStorage data is retained on your device until you clear it.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to: unsubscribe from our email list at any time using the link in any email; request deletion of your email address from our Kit account by emailing us; clear all localStorage data from your browser at any time using your browser settings; and request information about what personal data we hold about you.

If you are located in the European Union, you may have additional rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

7. SECURITY

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited personal information we collect. Payments are processed through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. Email data is stored in Kit's secured systems. AI tool inputs are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
