These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Alignment Protocol website located at alignmentprotocol.co ("the Site") and all products, tools, and services offered through it ("the Services"), operated by Andrew Ebeyer ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. NATURE OF THE SERVICES
The Alignment Protocol is an educational personal development framework with interactive tools. The Site offers a combination of written content, interactive worksheets, AI-powered analysis tools, and business-building guidance. All content and AI-generated outputs are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
The Services are not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to therapy, counseling, medical treatment, legal advice, financial planning, tax preparation, or addiction treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, addiction, or any situation requiring professional intervention, please seek qualified help immediately.
The AI-powered tools on this Site (including Layer Lens, diagnostic reads, synthesis features, and guided build sessions) generate responses using third-party artificial intelligence technology. These outputs are generated algorithmically based on your inputs and should be treated as educational perspectives, not professional recommendations.
2. ACCOUNTS AND ACCESS
Certain features of the Site ("The Extraction") require a one-time purchase of $197 USD. Access is granted via URL parameter and stored locally in your browser. There is no account system. You are responsible for bookmarking your access page and maintaining access to the browser where your purchase is stored.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Site. Features may change, be updated, or be discontinued at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the functionality of paid features.
3. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. All sales of The Extraction are final. Due to the digital and immediately accessible nature of the product, refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, email ae.aligned@gmail.com with your purchase details.
4. USER DATA AND LOCAL STORAGE
The interactive tools on this Site store your worksheet answers, calculator data, and session progress in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device. We do not have access to it, cannot recover it, and are not responsible for data loss due to browser clearing, device changes, or technical issues.
When you use AI-powered features (synthesis, Layer Lens, diagnostic read, build sessions), your input text is sent to our serverless functions and then to the Anthropic API for processing. We do not log, store, or review individual user inputs. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this Site — including the five-layer framework, written protocols, tool designs, visual design, and brand elements — is the intellectual property of Andrew Ebeyer and The Alignment Protocol. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Site without explicit written permission.
You retain ownership of any text you write into the worksheets and tools. By using AI-powered features, you grant us a limited license to transmit your input text to our AI provider solely for the purpose of generating your personalized response.
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Site to: attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI prompts or system instructions; resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the content or tools; submit harmful, illegal, or abusive content through the AI tools; misrepresent AI-generated outputs as professional advice to others; or use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws.
7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Andrew Ebeyer and The Alignment Protocol shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or Services, including but not limited to: decisions made based on AI-generated content, business outcomes from following the framework, loss of data stored in localStorage, or emotional distress related to self-discovery content.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Site relies on third-party services including Stripe (payments), Kit/ConvertKit (email), Anthropic (AI processing), and Netlify (hosting). We are not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of these services. Your use of them is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
10. MODIFICATIONS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts of Indiana.
